Top 5 – Paul McBeth Shots

He is the McBeast! How hard could it be to narrow down to 5 throws for the best player in the world? Very hard. To make it a bit easier, we had a bit of criteria when making this short list.

  1. The shot is caught on video.
  2. The shot does NOT have to go in.
  3. It cannot be a putt.

With that, we took into account the significance of the tournament, the pressure, the moment, the weather conditions, and the difficulty. Here are the Top 5 Disc Golf Shots from Paul McBeth.

5. 2nd Shot on Hole 17 at Blue Lake DGC

The first shot on this hole was ridiculous in the first place. The 2nd shot was even more impressive as McBeth navigated the terrain and threw with enough height and power to set himself up for the drop in Eagle!

4. Ace on Hole 4 at Milo McIver State Park

This shot was during round 5 of the 2014 World Championships. This shot undoubtedly helped McBeth secure his 3rd straight World Title.

3. Hole 1 – Sudden Death Playoff – 2014 Worlds

McBeth faced a very game Ricky Wysocki in a sudden death playoff during the 2014 PDGA World Championships. Throwing 2nd, McBeth opted for a roller to get through the low hanging trees. Given the enormous pressure he faced and how close this shot came to being out of bounds, we felt this shot landed at number 3 on our list.

2. Eagle on Hole 5 at Jones East – 2015 GBO

McBeth threw a perfect shot on the 477 foot Hole 5 of the Jones East Course using his Thunderbird to secure an Eagle during the 2nd round of the 2015 Glass Blown Open. What makes it even more impressive is that only Simon Lizotte even attempted to go for the green.

1. Hole 18 Island Shot – 2015 GBO

During the final round of the 2015 Glass Blown Open, McBeth nursed a comfortable lead. Stepping up the final hole of the tournament, McBeth would showcase his skill with an amazing shot to the Emporia Country Club Course Island Green Hole 18 in a headwind. Not only would he birdie the hole, he would secure yet another NT win. Check out how his competitors fared on the same hole. McBeast Mode Activated.
