Average Disc Golf started a new blog series all about what is in our bag. Now, we are not brand loyal and we carry a very mixed bag. We don’t have every brand, but we have quite a few. If you’re a seasoned player this may not help you any, but if you are a bit new to the sport, we thought these blogs would give you non biased information on many different discs from different manufacturers.
This time I want to discuss the Echo Star Boss from Innova Champion Discs.
The disc was gifted to me from a friend who thought it would fit my game. This Boss is a sea-foam green color and was well seasoned when I received it. After throwing it a few times, I knew it would be a reliable distance driver for me. Normally, I don’t have quite enough power or snap to throw a Boss right out of the box. This Echo Star, being as seasoned as it was, was perfect for my arm speed. This disc when thrown flat will fade for a just a little while before coming back reliably. Some of my longer and more impressive throws have come from this disc. It really made me appreciate used discs on another level. Of course, getting that shiny new plastic with a beautiful stamp is awesome, don’t get me wrong. Sometimes though, a well seasoned disc can make a huge difference. In my case, this Echo Star Boss has done just that.
