The defending champions came out with a bang in Emporia, Kansas to kick off the 2016 Professional Disc Golf World Championships. Here is your recap from Tuesday’s action.
MPO – McBeth handles Jones East with Ease
Paul McBeth came out firing making Jones East look too easy. The McBeast carded back to back Eagles on Holes 5 and 6. Along with his pair of Eagles, McBeth carded 13 birdies. McBeth has a lot to prove considering his season so far. Of course, Ricky Wysocki is right on heels with a 47 (-14). Wysocki kept pace with McBeth for most of the round and although he didn’t score an Eagle, he did have one more birdie. Rounding out the lead card will be Nikko Locastro with a 49 (-12) and Jeremy Koling with a 50 (-11).

Catrina Allen Out To Prove Something
2014 World Champion Catrina Allen has started her mission to become a multiple time World Champion. Although she is one of, if not the, top player in the game, Allen still feels the need to prove herself. She got off to a great start out at Peter Pan Park playing on the live feed from Smashboxx TV. Catrina went bogey free and although she had a few mishaps, she settled in with a 52 (-5). As in our predictions, if Catrina Allen is in first place, Paige Pierce is in second. That’s the situation here. Pierce carded a solid 54 (-3) to find herself 2 strokes back. Joining them on the lead card will be Sarah Hokom at 55 (-2) and Valarie Jenkins also at 55 (-2). That lead card will boast 8 world titles!

Joining them on the lead card will be Simon Feasy with a 50 (-7) and Jeff Kuehle who recorded a 51 (-6). The Champ, Ken Climo is tied for 4th also at (-6).
