In The Mixed Bag: G Star Katana

If you are a bit new to the sport, we thought these blogs would give  you non biased information on many different discs from different manufacturers.

Our next discussion covers another distance driver. The G-Star Katana by  Innova Discs.

The Katana is another in a line of G Star or G Line discs we carry. We can’t say enough about the grip of this plastic. As with our putters, we like our discs a bit more flexible and G Star gives us just that. The Katana is a driver that is in our bag due to the full flight it provides us. We get a ton of distance out of this disc due to its high speed (13) and the turn and fade it provides. One thing we noticed about Katana’s is that they seem to be inconsistent. Some are flippy off the shelf, and some are way stable off the shelf. At least in our experience. This disc is neither, it is a correct flying Katana. We are also very aware that this disc will get flippy as it beats in and may need a fresher replacement in the future. Do you throw Katana’s? Comment below.
