In the Mixed Bag – G-Star Destroyer

Average Disc Golf is starting a new blog series all about what is in our bag. Now, we are not brand loyal and we carry a very mixed bag. We don’t have every brand, but we have quite a few. If you’re a seasoned player this may not help you any, but if you are a bit new to the sport, we thought these blogs would give  you non biased information on many different discs from different manufacturers.

Our first entry is one of our favorite drivers. The G Star Destroyer from Innova Champion Discs.

We have had this disc in our bag since G Star was released. Our exact discs is almost a lime green with a bronze looking stamp. It is has beaten in nicely. We use it for various shots out on the course. Unless there is a serious headwind, we trust  this disc to come back and finish nicely almost every time. When we really put some snap into this disc, it rides its full flight pattern and can bomb almost 400 feet (for us, this is good). This disc will remain in our bag is one that will always have a backup for it. We use this disc on open holes and on holes that require a slight anhyzer before returning back to finish. The grippy G Star plastic feels great in our hands and seems to hold it’s stability for good length of time.
