In The Mixed Bag – Champion Thunderbird

Average Disc Golf is starting a new blog series all about what is in our bag. Now, we are not brand loyal and we carry a very mixed bag. We don’t have every brand, but we have quite a few. If you’re a seasoned player this may not help you any, but if you are a bit new to the sport, we thought these blogs would give  you non biased information on many different discs from different manufacturers.

Our next entry is one of our favorite fairway drivers. The Champion Thunderbird from Innova Champion Discs.

The Thunderbird from Innova is our absolute favorite disc at the moment. It is so reliable and versatile, we couldn’t imagine not having it. The Thunderbird fit so well into our game, we carry the Champion version and a Star version. We like how the rim fits nicely into our hands. We have so much control with the disc, we can use it for slow flex shots, and huge sky anhyzers to get out of trouble. The Star version is a bit more stable and is used in head winds. The best part in our opinion, how nicely this disc beats in. Fresh out of the box it is stable and reliable. As it beats in, it just throws farther and farther. It always has enough stability to trust it for any shot. If you haven’t tried a Thunderbird yet, what are you waiting for?
