Paige Pierce is off to an incredible start this season. Pierce has played in 10 events and won 9 of them. Her only loss was by two strokes to Catrina Allen in the Pendaries Village Open. In her nine victories, Pierce has averaged 7 strokes lower than her 2nd place counter-parts and has a winning margin of 63 strokes over the 10 tournaments.
Coming off a win in the 2014 Women’s USDGC and a win in the performance division of the 2014 USDGC, it is hard to see Pierce losing many tournaments this year. At the 2014 World Championships in Portland, Pierce found herself in a position to win, but couldn’t come up with the putts when she needed them. Pierce could be using that defeat as her motivation for this season. As it stands now, Pierce will be the favorite in every tournament she enters this season, it is hard to bet against her. The question is, who will step to challenge her?
