2015 Power Rankings – April

An eventful March gave us plenty to look at when determining our 2015 April Power Rankings. No too much movement at the top, but we did have a few move around within the top 10.

Open Men

1. Paul McBeth – He started the year ranked #1 in our Power Rankings. That’s where he stays. McBeast took down the Texas State Championships after being so close the past few years. He held off our 2nd ranked player, Simon Lizotte.

2. Simon Lizotte – Last month we mentioned the improvement from Simon. The trend continues, although he just needs to finish off his tournaments a bit stronger. He held the lead at Texas States, but fell to Paul McBeth (as many have), he stays at #2.

3. Gregg Barsby– Barsby makes his first appearance in the top 5 with a win at the St. Patrick’s Classic (A-Tier). He also finished a close 3rd at the 2015 Texas States behind McBeth and Lizotte. Don’t forget, Barsby finished 4th at The Memorial as well.

4. Jeremy Koling – We kept Big Jerm at 4 giving him extra credit for his NT win at the Memorial, and for a 5th place finish at Sunshine State Shootout in Florida. He could drop out of the top 5 next month without another win.

5. Will Schusterick–It was another tough decision, but we keep Schusterick at 5 just ahead of Ricky Wysocki for pulling out a win at the Sunshine State Shootout (A-Tier) which featured a nice field including Cale Leiviska, Jeremy Koling, and Paul Ulibarri. Wysocki also secured an A-Tier win at the Daniel Boe Memorial.

Remainder of Top 10:

6. Rocky Wysocki 7. Nikko Locastro 8. JohnE McCray 9. Dave Feldberg 10. Nate Doss

1. Paige Pierce – Pierce stays on top and just keeps winning. She took down the Texas States to win another big tournament this season.

2. Catrina Allen – Allen moves up to #2 in the top 5 after a 2nd place finish at Texas States and two wins at smaller tournaments in the month of March.

3. Jennifer Allen – The other Allen in our top 5 moves up to #3. She finished well at a few tournaments in March and continues to show improvement. Allen finished 3rd at the 2015 Texas States.

4. Liz Carr – Carr stays at #4 with a 2nd pace finish and a win at the 2-15 March Mush Day.

5. Desiree Reading – Des makes her 1st appearance in the top 5 with a 4th place finish at Texas States.
